Poem of the Day: Seasons

SEASONS

Fresh fallen snow upon a cold hard ground,
Purity and peace sensed all around.
The dark gray sky filled with deep snow clouds,
The mountain hill spotted with scattered crowds.
Winter cleans the air with pride,
Clean white snow in the country side.

The air filled with music, everything new,
Fluffy white clouds against the sky light blue.
The red breasted Robin high in a tree,
The black and the yellow a honey bee.
Animals born in a fresh new land,
We’ll work together hand in hand.

The soft spring breeze blows away,
Summer comes, a long hard day.
Hot and heavy the days go by,
No one hears or answers the cry.
The soft green grass, a cool blue beach,
We hide our hearts where none can reach.

Fall winds blow, the leaves fall down,
Our smiles crack, away with the frown.
Holidays coming, cruel words gone,
Our love grows stronger a brand new dawn.
Seasons change four times a year,
The future grows dim, a hidden fear.

Winter is peace and caring for,
Summer is long a cold hard war.
Autumn and Spring a new beginning,
Away with hate, cruelty, and sinning.
The beauty of nature obvious and great,
The beauty within, a hidden trait.

A few kind words, a hello, a good-bye,
Comfort the child when he should cry.
A bright clean smile to brighten ones day,
Think of others when you should pray.
Hidden beauty so glorious and great,

Find it within before it’s too late.
