Poem of the day: Adventures

Adventures

Throughout the worlds history many tales have oft been told,

of things not ever heard of, of men were brave and bold.

Of courage quiet amazing and bravery unmatched,

of adventures and the unsolved tale that suddenly unlatched.

Of greed and power of pirates gold,

of gifts of life of Earth been told.

But ah adventures not yet begun,

of things that haven’t yet been done.

To sail through empty black of space,

to discover a people of another race.

To land on a surface of a foreign moon,

Your name in praise will all men croon.

To be the first was ever there,

the feeling of power on a planet bare.

The stars bow down to your every need,

We ever move with growing speed.
